I chose to look at several of his pieces because I found each is trying to  perceive a different message.
- Intent- a message about the corruption in politics
How they communicate the intent:
- anthropomorphism- the character is represented as an vulture
- vultures have negative connotations, relating to a creature which preys on the weak, much like politicians prey on the working class.
- vultures are known as scroungers, like a politician who would take all that they can with little regard for others.

Intent- portray a message about the power divide in society.
How they communicate the intent
- anthropomorphism is used in this illustration to depict the aspects of the characters personalities.
- the sheep on the left has connotations of; being submissive/controlled
- following the crowd- doesn't have own thoughts
- the wolf on the right has connotations of- being aggressive, keeping sheep in line, using violence as a force of power over those weaker than itself.
- the uniform being worn suggests they are in a military setting.
- i believe this illustration is a metaphor portraying the idea that people in power, such as members of the military, the police and the government use physical force and manipulation to keep the working class under their control, oppressed and without power.
- they are wearing military clothing to show that the Army and police force is used by the government to keep us in line.

(1)
Intent- portray a message about the problem with police brutality
How they communicate the intent
- simple image with obvious message
- I think this image is raising awareness about police brutality.
- Anthropomorphism is used again.
the character is portrayed as an ape
- apes can be aggressive
- un-usual animal to pick as their are others which would portray aggression more
- uses an animal to depict the opinion that the police force are full of animals- dumb, reactive and often aggressive
- reacting from instinct rather than logical thought
- positioning and angle of the character portrays a threatening posture

  • one of the aspects I like about this Artists work is his use of anthropomorphism
  • I intend to explore with anthropomorphism over summer, as it is an effective way to portray the characteristics of a character.

  • As my work is based on equality, I could focus an aspect of it on corruption in government, I plan to create a stream of Illustrations of various political figures anthropomorphism, with relevant choice of animals to reflect their political believes and personal tendencies.
  • I also like the way he works digitally and intend to experiment with this media and it is not a strong point of mine.
